Crafting Connections

Crafting Connections is an in-person group that combines peer support and crafting in a positive and welcoming environment. The group is open to all 2SLGBTQ+ people who are 18+ and no crafting experience is required.

Participants are encouraged to bring a project they are already working on. Any project must be quiet, portable, and easy to clean up after.

If crafting is a new adventure, or if they would like to learn a new skill, some tools and materials are available.  Facilitators can help people learn to knit, quilt/hand sew, start basic embroidery and cross-stitch, or tapestry weaving. There are also some supplies for colouring and drawing available.

Crafting Connections meets at The Calgary Rainbow Room (#400, 750 11 Street SW). Meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm. There is a pad beside the door – scroll down until you see “The Rainbow Room” and select that option.
